The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused the geographical and political boundaries to be closed, affecting the economy of many parties, including Public University Alumni Entrepreneurs. This group is a Public, University. graduate who responds to the Government’s call to become graduates who create jobs instead of job seekers. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected their livelihoods. Realizing this fact, the Center for Alumni and Careers and Alumni Association, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) took the initiative to organize the Public University Alumni Entrepreneurs Convention (KUAUA’20) for the first time.

This one-day convention is organized with the objective of providing input and information related to opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship such as grants and funds for entrepreneurs, incentives and consulting for entrepreneurs as well as sharing the entrepreneurial experience with the industry. At the same time the convention received cooperation from the Ministry of Higher Education, Public University Alumni Council together with eight Public Universities namely Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP), Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) and Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA).

Nearly 200 participants from Alumni Entrepreneurs participated in this convention by filling the program involving talk sessions and briefings from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, SME Corp; TalentCorp, PROTEGE, SOCSO and from the Industry, namely from L & K Multivision Company. This briefing and talk session provide an opportunity for all participants obtain information related to the opportunities provided by the Government to help entrepreneurs in this country. Also at this convention, the Organizers also held an exhibition corner from this Public University Alumni Entrepreneur to highlight their business results
