NILAI, 14 December 2020 – Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Alumni and Career Center established the USIM-UI Platinum Group Graduate Trustability Fund in collaboration with Alumni Entrepreneurs who own the UI Platinum Group Company which contributed RM50,000.00 as initial fund to fill the fund this. The donation handover ceremony was presented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student and Alumni Affairs, Yang Berbahagia Associate Professor Dr Mohd Rushdan Mohd Jailani.

 

“The USIM-UI Platinum Graduate Marketability Trust aims to help fund GE USIM programs in the long run. The source of this fund is channeled by private companies for the purpose of providing training to USIM graduates. This cooperation benefits where, these companies will be given income tax relief and besides making USIM graduates who receive training through the GE-UI Platinum Trust Fund as employees of their company, “said Mr. Mohd Asri Hj Husain, Director of Alumni Center and Career. He added that Platinum Group Bhd, which is also an Alumni Entrepreneur, will be appointed as the Coordinator to assist in obtaining fund contributions from the industry. The Alumni and Career Center hopes that the USIM-UI Platinum GE Trust Fund will be realized for the long-term sustainability of USIM graduates.

 

Mr. Muhammad Nafis Bin Abdul Mois, USIM Alumni Entrepreneur said, UI-Platinum Group focuses on project development, product and business development, consulting, and event management.

 

UI-Platinum Group has previously collaborated with the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU) and the Center for Alumni and Careers. UI-Platinum Group has also been a platform with USIM students who want to volunteer GISO serve as executive tutors to 300 students at FSU and provide financial generation to their association and UI-Platinum Group has served the Alumni and Career Center for GE development programs increase the marketability of USIM graduates after graduation, “said Mr. Muhammad Nafis who is the CEO of UI Platinum Group Sdn. Bhd.

 

“We are also optimistic in finding other platforms to work together. For information, USIM is very much needed in the community and our job is to be a match maker to become a competent graduate in the community besides being a professional individual to the industry to return to serve the community, “he added.
