DR MOHD IZZAT AMSYAR MOHD ARIF is a graduate from the Faculty of Syariah and Law (FSU), USIM in Law and Syariah and completed his Master and PhD in Law from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is currently working as a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). He had an active involvement in debating activities when he was in USIM, especially in Arabic debate. His skill has enabled him to win many awards such as the Team Excellence Award (Arabic Debate) in 2011; Individual Excellence Award (Arabic Debate) in 2010; Best Debater Award in Royal Cup Debating Championship (Arabic Language) in 2010; Champion for Royal Cup Debating Championship (Arabic Language) in 2010; Champion for Royal Cup Debating Championship (Arabic Language) in 2009; and Best Argument Award for National Syariah Moot Court in 2009. He once served as Syarie Lawyer (Wilayah Persekutuan). In addition, he has published 11 academic books and is also the advisor to two private educational institutions as well as a Consultant for Selangor Zakat Council (LZS) Research.
